Earth Mama Organics is one of my go-to shops prior to giving birth (or just thereafter to stock up). Why? Because I am addicted to their nipple butter for nursing/pumping and their milkmaid tea to keep up supply.
You’ll probably like Earth Mama’s core values too, if you are anything like me! Do not harm, nature is our pharmacy, education empowers, honor the body’s ingenuity and mamas need one another! I mean – could that be any better? A mother and nurse, Melinda Olson started Earth Mama by making and sharing organic tinctures, teas, soaps and salves using self-grown herbs in the early 2000s. Here we are today, 2020, and loving everything Earth Mama offers to us lucky to indulge in these delicious products! My favorite finds below!
I could not live without nipple butter when I had my two babies and will surely be stocking up on this for my third! Now the ingredients are 100% organic! This soothing organic Nipple Butter is lanolin-free and non-sticky. “It moisturizes dry skin, and brings your nipples back to their happy place” – which is exactly what you need before and after feedings and pumping sessions! It is Non-GMO Project Verified so totally cool for breastmilk and baby’s mouth! No need to wash it off before nursing! Dermatologist tested and clinically tested for irritation. Zero petroleum, parabens, or lanolin- perfect!. The only non-vegan ingredient? Organic beeswax – something I can live with for sure!
Other places to slather it: on lips, cheeks, heels, cuticles and elbows. I used it on my babies when they got chapped lips from nursing!
If you are a nursing mother, you might think a lot of milk production and supply. I sure as heck did (for more on this, read my posts here). This organic Milkmaid Tea is a fragrant, comforting blend of organic herbs traditionally used to help support healthy breast milk production and promote healthy lactation. I drank it every day when upping my milk!
Please note that Organic Milkmaid Tea is NOT FOR USE DURING PREGNANCY. Many galactagogue herbs are not recommended for use during pregnancy in greater than culinary amounts. Otherwise all good! USDA Certified 100% Organic by Oregon Tilth. Non-GMO Project Verified. Certified Kosher by EarthKosher.
