My Top 7 Mom Secrets to Getting Ready in Less than 10-Minutes.

I really do not have much time to get ready in the morning these days, I normally have 5-minutes for a shower after the kids go to bed or before my husband disappears for work calls at 7:30 a.m. Almost never can I blow-dry my hair (or straighten or curl for that matter), so that is usually a semi-fuzzy situation or hidden away in a topknot.

As for the rest of my face? These 7 tricks have me decently presentable in under 5-minutes.

Use a Tinted Foundation

I have used Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturizer with SPF for probably 6 or 7 years now. Normally, I don’t stick with products this long, but it is my all-time favorite time saver. SPF and moisturizer in one? PLUS it acts like a light coat of make-up at the same time. So clutch.

Eyelash Curler and a Splash of Mascara

I don’t have a specific recommendation on a curler, but I do love Too Faced ‘Better than Sex’ waterproof Mascara. My favorite non-waterproof Mascara is Clinique’s ‘High Impact’ (it really is high-impact!). Using a quick curle and a dash of mascara goes such a long way in looking put together and making your eyes look bright.

Eyebrow Mascara

I really don’t have time for much more on my eyebrows than Benefit’s Gimme Brow Eye Brow Gel. I have been using it for YEARS and literally will not leave the house without it. My eyebrows are so skinny and boring as it is – but Gimme Brow take literally 5 seconds and makes a HUGE difference. One day I’d like to try microblading but for now, this will do!

Dash of Cheek Highlighter or Blush

I take 10 seconds to highlight my cheeks with one swoop of either highlighter or blush every time I leave the house. My favorite highlighter (I also sometime use it on my eyelids) is Laura Mercier’s Radiant Powder (one container has lasted me like two years because you only need such a tiny bit!).

Tinted Chapstick on-the-go

I love Burt’s Bees tinted chapstick and have them everywhere. My car, my purse, my desk. For everyday use, I don’t need a for real lipstick, and lipglosses aren’t great for giving my kids smooches all day long. I love Burt’s Bee for it’s simplicity. A tiny bit of color, a big impact. Easy. Affordable. Fast.

Spray on Bronzer

I have time at least a dozen self-bronzers and L’Oreal makes the best, most affordable, least streaky, least fuzzy self bronzing products I have ever used. They have a spray on one best for body (neck, chest, arms, etc.) and a lotion on that is great for face. If and when I remember, I use a little bit on my face and next one or twice a week in the summer and it adds so much glow with so little effort.

Sunglasses

Big ones do well to cover-up circles from sleepless nights. Not much else to say here.
